Dan Schmit joined JohnPac in March of 2015 as Plant Manager.  He spent his professional career prior to joining the company at Morton Salt.  Schmit started at Morton Salt as a Senior Project Engineer and worked his way up the company to Facility Manager, directing over 200 employees at the Weeks Island mine.  Schmit has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of KS and his M.B.A. from the University of Louisiana.  Dan lives in Lafayette and in his spare time runs marathons and has qualified for the Boston Marathon. Dan was promoted to COO/President in September 2023.
