Celebrating the Fathers of JohnPac

Father’s Day is a special day to celebrate the dads who work hard to provide for their families and create lasting memories with their children. At JohnPac, we have a team of amazing dads who not only excel in their roles at work but also in their roles as fathers. In this post, we want to honor them and share some of their insights into fatherhood.

Clay Borill – Customer Service Representative

What is your favorite thing about being a father?

“My favorite thing about being a father is watching my child grow up. Seeing how they become their own little human with a personality, interests, and character is amazing.”

What would be your one piece of advice to someone who wants to become a father someday?

“Being patient is key. Not every day will be a great one, but there are plenty of good ones especially early on. They are learning to become a person just as you are learning how to be a parent.”

Robin Seibert – Chief Financial Officer

What is your favorite thing about being a father?

“Watching your kids grow-up to be adults and becoming a productive member of society.”

What would be your one piece of advice to someone who wants to become a father someday?

“Spend as much time with your children even as they become adults because every moment with them creates a memory that can never be taken away.”

Taylor Gray – Sales Representative

What is your favorite thing about being a father?

“My favorite thing about being a father is realizing that it’s unlikely you’ll ever love anyone more than your children.  Knowing that every little emotion that they experience, you’ll experience as well.  When you see excitement in their eyes, you feel that.  When their heart breaks, yours will too.  It’s never easy.  There are ups and downs in individual relationships and there are group dynamics that are difficult to maneuver.   But at the end of the day, the love that you share with your children is simple and wonderful.”

What would be your one piece of advice to someone who wants to become a father someday?

“Outside of the unconditional love and support thing, being emotionally and physically present would be my number one piece of advice.  Making sure that your kids know you see them.  Making sure they know you understand how they’re feeling in difficult times.  I have kids that are getting older now.  Every little thing I do with the youngest makes me wish I would have done more with the oldest, and pushes me to do more with the middle child.  They’ll be out of my house soon and I’ll miss them every day.  So be present.”

David John – Owner

What would be your one piece of advice to someone who wants to become a father someday?

“Spending as much time as possible with your children. Children are very observant. They are like a sponge soaking up your actions along with your reactions. Don’t ever be disappointed if you are not capable of always doing big things for your children. Your children will always remember the big things you do with them. Do not be fooled, they will never forget the daily small things, quiet moments, and simple times you spend with them.”

Gunner Aker – VP of Sales & Marketing

What is your favorite thing about being a father?

“Spending time with your kids is by far the most favorite thing, and watching them go through the different stages in life that you went through. Every day together is always a blessing.”

What would be your one piece of advice to someone who wants to become a father someday?

“Take it all in. There is so much reward in being close to your children. One piece of advice I would say is TAKE MORE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS… You and They will appreciate those later in life.”

Chase Browning – Sales Representative

What is your favorite thing about being a father?

“There are so many great things about being a father but my favorite thing so far is the indescribable bond you form with your child.  I have a 6 month old baby girl who laughs at every little thing I do. She is the light of my life and already has me wrapped around her finger.”

What would be your one piece of advice to someone who wants to become a father someday?

“Be prepared for your life to be turned upside down, but in the best way possible. You have to become fully selfless and patient, but the happiness they bring will make every single rough day/night worth it. Your inner child comes back to life and it really makes you appreciate all the little things in life.”

The JohnPac team would like to wish all the dads out there a happy Father’s Day. Thank you for all you do!
